I love what Plastic Bank is doing for our planet and was drawn to the idea of how I can carry out their mission throughout my work. Plastic Bank is a for-profit social enterprise founded by David Katz. They build recycling ecosystems in under-developed communities to help fight plastic levels in oceans and poverty levels in developing countries.
One of our projects consisted of designing Plastic Bank’s head office in Vancouver, where half of the design fees were donated back into their charity with hopes to improve the lives of collectors. It’s been a beautiful journey being able to invite others to take action for the betterment of the planet and our people by sharing this work.
